My granny as a photographer

Found this old dress with clovers pattern in my granny's wardrobe. I really liked the vintage look, but the dress was too big for me, so I asked granny to be a model for me. Surprisingly she accepted with a smile. Surprisingly because the last time I took pictures of her she said that for the selfportraits I am doing my best to look beautiful, but when taking pictures of others I don't care about if they look good or not hahaha Which is probably true (evil laugh) ;)

 

My first band shoot

Ok, I know the pics are cliche and so on, but I find it difficult even thinking in this heat :D So those boys are friends of mine, who are making grindcore music (I hope I wrote the style right). They needed pictures for one event and kindly asked me to help them. And I gotta say they were acting like gentlemen, I almost felt like a real photographer with them :D Here is a link to their myspace page.

A shadowless future pouring out of my mouth. I've been there where existance is an empty staring through a window where the sadness isn't acceptable and forgivable.

Surprise surprise

Last weekend I took some pictures of my mother, while visiting my granny. Yesterday following my huge curiosity I developed the film and barely waited for it to dry so I can scan the pictures. Luckily it is summer and it doesn't take a long time for a film to dry in this heat. When I started scanning and editing the images a conversation, I had with John just a week or two ago, came to the surface of my mind. We were talking about photography, nature and inspiration. Of course about some things we agreed about other - disagreed. But John said that it would be good if I reconnect with my pictures and feelings from the time when we met - me, Alek and John. My instinctive answer to him was, that I don't know how to do that and I am not anymore what I was before. Well yesterday while I was looking at my last pictures I had the feeling of "SurpRisE SurpRisE" and may be I am wrong, may be I just wished I can take a picture the way I was doing it back in 2010, but when I look at the follwoing ones, I just can't stop this "surprise, surprise" flickering in me.

Going backwards

Some pictures I took while I was in Greece last year. I think I haven't shown them before... I have this thing to look through old photos, when I am wondering how to develop a new film. So having no clue how to proceed a cheap foma 400 led me to those images.

I don't know where my curtain obsession comes from. But I checked out my folders and found out I have quite a lot of pictures of things and people behind curtains. I guess I just like lace structure and can't really resist it :D
